About Us

We began our passionate home-based business, Pixie Peytie Designs, originally for charity purposes. We are in coordination with Children's Hospital of Denver to donate tutus & headbands to little girls who have undergone intense cardiac surgery. Along with these donations, 10% of our proceeds are donated to the Children's Heart Institute of Denver.

I was inspired to start the business after losing one of my twin daughters to a rare congenital heart defect. Makenna was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, essentially only having the right ventricle of her heart. After a long fight, Makenna passed away at 1 month old. Making the tutus started as therapy and seeing the joy that the gifts bring to little girls is very fulfilling. My sister-in-law, Andrea, joined in the business by making the headbands and hats, and together we created a wonderful legacy for Makenna.

The tutus and headbands are affordably priced and are ideal for dress up, photos, and holidays. We offer products ranging in sizes from Newborn - 6 years old. We accept custom orders and the turn around time is typically less than one week. Our products are made with love, and you can be sure that your purchase will not only bring a smile to your princess’ face, but also that of a child going through the fight of their life.
